Registration is available online at https://runsignup.com/bhm262. We do not accept phone or email entries.
Registration Confirmation- How do I know if I am registered?
You can confirm your registration by signing into your Run Signup account and viewing your current registrations. Please Note: Final confirmation/information will be emailed to participants within 2 weeks before the event.
What do I do if I cannot participate once I have registered?
All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund. If you cannot participate, you may not give or sell your number to anyone else and entry fees will not be transferred from year to year. Your registration fee will be converted to a donation to Magic Moments and Children’s of Alabama.
Can I switch from the full marathon to half marathon after I have registered or vice-versa?
Typically registrations cannot be transferred between the full and half marathons. HOWEVER, due to the cancellation of the full marathon due to COVID-19 you can transfer from the FULL to the HALF OR 5K visit www.runsignup.com/bhm262 to make your selection for transfer.
What if I did not receive a confirmation sheet?
You will be able to pick up your packet by presenting a valid photo I.D.
What do I receive with my registration?
Each registered participant and finisher of the marathon, half marathon, and relay will receive the following:
- Race number, official timing device, official T-shirt and swag bag to be picked up at the Expo.
- Water, Sports Drink & Sports Gel along the course
- Refreshments and water at the start and finish lines
- Finisher’s medal when you cross the finish line
- A meal from Jim ‘N Nick’s Community Bar-B-Q (half marathon only), an adult beverage.
Do you have an elite program?
yes, we do! While prize money is not offered marathon or half marathon entry fees will be waved for those who meet the qualification standards.

Athletes must submit documentation of the qualifying time to [email protected] by September 1, 2020.
Upon acceptance elite runners must post to his or her personal or professional Facebook or Instagram page promoting the BHM26.2 social media pages. This entry must be posted by September 15, 2020 or race entry will be voided.
Packet Pick Up
Where is packet pick up?
DRIVE-THRU packet pick up will take place at Resolute Running. Please arrive between 9am and 4pm with the names of those whose packets you will be retrieving. We will grab your packets and hand them over. PLEASE WEAR A MASK TO PROTECT YOURSELF AND OUR VOLUNTEERS.
Can someone else pick up my race material?
Race material may be picked up by someone else if they have a copy of a current, valid photo I.D. of the race participant they are picking up for. Race materials will not be mailed.
Can I pick up my packet on Race Day?
We will have a special exceptions packet pick up near our start/finish line on race day. We highly recommend for both times sake and your safety that you pick up your packet at the standard packet pick up on Saturday. Our race day pick up can take a long time so please plan accordingly.
Will the event be cancelled in inclement weather?
We will follow standard outdoor sporting event protocol to ensure safety of runners and volunteers. If the event hasn’t started by 7:30 am, the event will be canceled. Your registration fee will be converted to a donation to Magic Moments and Children’s of Alabama. In the case of forecasted severe weather, a call will be made in the appropriate time frame and we will make our best efforts to reschedule to event.
What is your cancelation policy?
As with all ticketed events we cannot offer refunds in the event of a cancellation but we will make every effort to reschedule the event to allow you to use the benefits of your registration at a later date. We do our very best to never cancel this event lightly and any cancellation will come with extensive information for you as a participant.
UPDATE: Due to the circumstances surrounding our race and COVID-19 we will offer refunds for canceled events. If we are still offering the race you registered for at some capacity we cannot approve a refund.

What time do the races start?
7 am for the half marathon. We will have staggered start times you will receive your specific start time via email closer to race day.
7:15 am for the 5K.We will have staggered start times you will receive your specific start time via email closer to race day.
Is the course walker friendly?
The courses are walker friendly. We just ask that all participants train in an effort to complete the course within the course time limit. The cutoff time is 3 hours. Any remaining runners will be transported to finish line after the cutoff times.
Are bikes, rollerblades, or baby joggers allowed on the course?
No dogs, in-line skates, baby joggers, skateboards, or bikes will be allowed on any part of the course, with the exception of the 5K and fun run where baby joggers are allowed. This is for everyone’s safety!
Is this event a Boston Marathon qualifying course?
on a typical year yes. Due to time constraints and course changes due to COVID-19 our course will not be certified through USATF in 2020.
Is there a course time limit?
Yes. The time limit is three hours for the half marathon course.
How does the relay work?
NO RELAY IN 2020. A team must have a minimum of five runners. There are 5 legs of the relay making up the full marathon. Leg distances are TBD.
Is there a limit to the number of participants?
Yes. The full marathon is capped at 1,000 runners. The half marathon is capped at 1,500 runners. Relay teams are capped at 500 teams. The 5K IS CAPPED AT 300 and Fun Run does not have a limit on a number of runners.

Is a military discount available?
Yes. Email [email protected] with a photo of your military ID for a 15% discount.
Is BHM 26.2 an inclusive event?
Yes.We strive to make our course an inclusive environment and make all accommodations ahead of time to ensure an easy race day.
The accessible event will start 3 minutes prior to marathon start. If you are choosing to participate in this category you must notify Anna by emailing [email protected] to ensure we accommodate you!
Where are medical stations located?
Medical stations will be located at the start finish and half way mark.
Where are water stations located?
Water stations will be located approximately every two miles. To ensure the safety of both the runners and our volunteers our water station will be self serve mini water and power aid bottles.
Where can runners store their belongings while running?
DUE TO COVID-19 WE WILL NOT BE OFFERING A BAG CHECK. PLEASE MAKE OTHER PLANS FOR YOUR BELONGINGS.
What if I lost a personal item at the Start of Finish Line?
Lost items that were found and turned in will be returned to the Magic Moments office after the event. Please allow 1-2 weeks for transit time and inventory. Email [email protected] to request your lost item.

Results and Awards
If I win an award, can I pick it up on race day?
No, in order to avoid potential crowds and gatherings post race we will be posting all winners and age group awards on our social media and website as well as mailing the award certificates to those who receive them.
Do you offer cash prizes?
No, beginning this year we have opted out of prize money in order to give all funds to the benefiting charities.
What age group awards are there?
Top M/F in the following age groups 19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 &
Grand Masters (50 & over).
We will not be presenting age group awards at the BHM26.2 after party.
ALL AGE GROUP WINNERS WILL BE POSTED ON OUR WEBSITE AS SOON AS THE INFO IS AVAILABLE.
What if my results are missing or inaccurate?
Please submit a results correction request and our timing company will look into your claim. Submissions will be accepted for five days after the event and updated results will be posted within seven days.

100% of registration fees benefit Magic Moments and Children’s of Alabama.
