Marathon Relay

Looking for a fun and challenging way to participate in BHM26.2 without taking on all 26.2 miles solo? The Marathon Relay is a team-friendly option that lets you experience the energy of race day with friends, family, or coworkers—all while supporting Magic Moments, Alabama’s only wish-granting organization dedicated exclusively to children facing chronic life-threatening or life-altering conditions.

Relay Leg Distances:

• Leg 1: 5 miles

• Leg 2: 5 miles

• Leg 3: 3.1 miles

• Leg 4: 6.9 miles

• Leg 5: 6.2 miles

Each team must complete the full marathon distance. Teams are not required to have five members, just be sure all legs are covered. If a runner takes on multiple legs, they must be consecutive.

Bonus: Legs 1–3 and Legs 4–5 each total 13.1 miles, ideal for runners who want to complete a half marathon while being part of a relay!

Designated relay exchange points will be staffed by TARS and volunteers, with shuttle service provided to return runners to the start/finish area after their segment.

Registration includes:

• Race number, official timing device, t-shirt, and swag bag (pick up on Friday, October 3rd or Saturday, October 4th)

• Water and Powerade along the course

• Refreshments and water at the start and finish lines

• Finisher’s medal for all team members

• Awards for the top 3 teams, presented at the After Party

Awards will be given for the top 3 groups of the 5-Person Marathon. Awards will be presented at the After Party.

Packets MUST be shipped OR picked up at Packet Pickup on Oct. 3rd or 4th. Day of pick up will NOT be available.
